JOHN MCCAIN: But we also need to put more pressure on this illegal corrupt government to make them change and let them have a free election and allow human rights and freedom which is being brutally repressed, uh, as, as we speak. The United States in our generosity is willing to step forward and help and we will do whatever is necessary to help. But in the long term we have to continue to bring pressures to bear, not only on Burma but on the ASEAN nations to try and bring about a free and democratic society.
