QUESTIONER: "Do you have a specific change of scheme in Iraq than the Bush Administration, or do you believe that he current situation is working to the extent that it will continue for the foreseeable future?"

MCCAIN: "I think that the current strategy is succeeding, but I just would like to point out for nearly four years I argued in the most vociferous and passionate fashion that the strategy they were employing then was doomed to failure."

"I argued and fought against that strategy which was doomed to failure and argued for the one that is succeeding now. So I support the present strategy, but I have a clear record or ardent, and sometimes saddened, because of the sacrifice, opposition to the strategy."
