QUESTIONER: "Will you continue to make a commitment to the federal programs that help fund healthcare systems, healthcare services to our children, children of our workers here in this factory, in this community?"

JOHN MCCAIN: "Yes I will, but I would also like to ask your views on one of the major factors that contribute enormously to this challenge. And that's wellness and fitness. I know that you know that recent statistical data show that there's an increase among young Americans, high blood pressure, diabeties and obesity. And that obviously drives everybody's healthcare costs up. I'd like to have every well-known athlete in America go to the schools and talk to, talk to the young people about the need for good diets and exercise and other things but um—I'd also like to check on the school lunch program . . ."
