JOHN MCCAIN: I'm not.

QUESTIONER: You're not?

MCCAIN: I'm not.

QUESTIONER: I was informed that you were.

MCCAIN: "You were misinformed. Now I will discuss the issue with you. [...] there would have to be various penalties [for being in the US illegally]. [...] There was no amnesty. You can call it whatever you want to."
