MCCAIN: "First, can I say, no thanks for reminding me... jerk. Can I say to you, your question is very important because people have gotten the impression because of this National Intelligence Estimate that things are fine with Iran. Let me just say to you, there's two components, major components to building a nuclear weapon. One is the enrichment of material, which provides you with the material, and the other is the weaponization, the construction of the weapon itself. Now the enrichment is a much longer process, the weaponization is a short process. I don't know where the intelligence came from, and I may not never know because I'm not on the right committees. But I know this, that if you were enriching the material, which by the Russians would have done for them if they'd have been serious, and if you get to a point where you got enough of this material to make a nuclear weapon or weapons, then it doesn't take long to make the weapons side of it, number one. Number two, I have detected no change in Iranian behavior. They're still dedicated to the destruction of the state of Israel, they are still supporting terrorist organizations, Hamas and Hezbollah, they are still exporting explosive devices, the most lethal kind, into Iraq and killing young Americans. So, my friends, I am more than skeptical, more than skeptical, in fact I've changed very little in my view that the Iranians still pose a threat to peace in the Middle East and in the world over time."
