JOHN MCCAIN: "I'm grateful. I'm grateful that we Republicans have stood fast. I'm grateful that this president has stood fast. I'm grateful most of all for the men and women and their courage and their dedication. And they know what's going on here. They know what's happening here. They know about the politics. They know the latest of attempt of the Democrats to cut off the funding . . . any objective observer today would have to suspend disbelief to know that it's not not working. It is working and it's working successfully and the people of Iraq are far better off now [applause] . . ."
