In its weekly meeting, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners heard from the public concerning their recommended 26% increase, which would apply to the salary of all three commissioners effective July 1, 2008.
Bill Meyer rose to speak in dissent of their increase in light of increasing unemployment and foreclosures.
