FOX and John McCain need to get a room already! While the network's love for McCain has been obvious all along, it's now clear they're going to support him to the bitter end. Yesterday, FOX's Martha MacCallum said the reason McCain couldn't remember how many mansions he owns is because the McCains "have real estate investments and he wanted to make sure he got that right."
Of course! It's tricky to keep track of over 10 properties worth nearly $14 million (even though Progressive Accountability did it quite easily). But you know what's even trickier to understand? Our nation's struggling economy.
McCain can't keep his own real estate investments straight, so how in the world will he pull us out of a recession; lower the price of gas; get us adequate, affordable health care; and, oh yes, fix the real housing crisis plaguing our nation? The answer is, he won't.
He's too busy catering to the interests of people like him, our country's wealthy elite—the ones he defined as having $5 million or more in pocket change. He's giving them enormous tax breaks at the expense of the middle class. He won't help homeowners facing foreclosure. Instead, he's pushing an economic budget that will create the biggest deficit in twenty-five years and proposing tax hikes on employer-based health insurance.
But as Think Progress notes, others in the mainstream press are following FOX's lead in defending McCain's gaffe. This is dangerous, because it prevents hard-working Americans from realizing that McCain has absolutely no intention of acting in their best interests. That's why you must continue spreading McCain's Mansions to everyone you know. Don't let FOX's disgusting bias prevent people from seeing McCain as the elitist he really is.

"So it's okay to criticize McCain for having a mansion. But it's wrong to go after Al Gore for having one."
Al Gore won a nobel peace prize, John McCain did not. I think that should allow him a mansion without being criticized. However, Al Gore still doesn't come near the total of 10 mansions that McCaine owns.
Also, don't forget that Al Gore didn't become president... so hopefully the same plays out for multi-mansion owner John McCaine.
