Furthermore, the Democrats, Obama (and Moore, Nader in 2000) have shown their ignorance of the fundamentals of democracy. Democracy is a parliamentary system. The Congress should be far more important than the President who is required by the US Constitution to do the bidding of the Congress. The Congress is supposed to run the country.
Obama stupidly made his first major mistake uesterday by foolishly removing perhaps the most powerful man in the US Senate, Biden to play the innocuous part of VP.

Bill Clinton BTW made the same mistake and it hurt his presidency a lot. Clinton removed among others, Gore (Tenn) and Bentsen (Texas)who were both powerful popular US Senators and were replaced by Republicans who have never relinquished those seats since. And we all know what that GOP Congress did to Clinton.

Obama and the Democrats should be campaigning for a Democratic Congress as much as much as they are campaigning for the White House, if not moreso. Obama should be lecturing the people every day that Congress is where the power is and should be in a democracy.

"Imperializing" the presidency, which the GOP has largely done since Reagan is the wrong thing.

As I said in my pre-Moore comment/question, Moore's humor was actually ineffective as a political tool. In fact the Republicans were the ones who used it effectively and managed successfully to defuse Fahrenheit 9/11 claiming that Moore is a comedian who staged camera-trick gags and editing to get laughs. Many people simply didn't believe the videos, Taliban in Texas, "Watch this drive" etc., were real.
And Moore willingly played the part perfectly appearing on the talk-show circuit with hilarious film-clips etc. that got a lot of laughs but were not taken seriously as they should have been.

One has to have an educated sense of humor to understand the extreme irony of Moore's humorous commentary. The average American/IQ falls far below that capability.

Fahrenheit 9/11, though it appealed to Moore's fans and "the converted" (including me BTW) changed few people's minds as the skeptical fence-sitters in 2004 evidently took the Republican view of it and voted for Bush.

George W. Bush was no laughing matter. In fact the war criminal liar nearly destroyed America and the world and he's not done yet.
