Iraq Veterans Against the War marched towards the convention center at the RNC in St. Paul with the goal of presenting Senator John McCain with a list of demands about the Iraq Occupation. While the veterans had no problem gaining access to Senator Obama, Senator McCain refused to meet with the group. The UpTake's Chuck Olsen reports.

During America's entire 5-6 years
in Iraq -we have lost what?
-3? -4 thousand people?
In the 2 years of the Korean War
we had almost twice as many who were
simply missing in action. 5,500
In many a single day's battle during
any of the great wars last century
as many as 70,000 could be killed.
In one day's battle in WWI
7000 soldiers were never even found.
They'd disappeared in the crossfire.
During the routine firebombings
of Nazi Germany and Japan
thousands upon thousands
of women and children
were melted alive into
the pavements.
During the entire 'War on Terror'
America never even had a draft.
During the 5 years of the Iraq conflict
40,000 human beings have been murdered
in Red China and North Korea ---for their organs.
In the five decades of 'peace' since
Korea several million North Koreans
have been murdered and starved to death.
And across the border in Red China
70,000,000 have also been killed
-also in 'peacetime'.
War is hell. Peace is hell too.
Sometimes even a much worse hell.
Are we at war? REALLY?
