As he has done on any number of issues, John McCain says one thing then, later, exactly the opposite. McCain called Jerry Falwell an "agent of intolerance" in 2000. Now that he is after the Christian right as he runs for President, goes back on his own words.

Honestly, (and I'm no McCain supporter) I'm a little impressed that he says there are still things about the Christian right that he disagrees with. In terms of election year ideology changes for the Republicans, this might be about as tame as it gets.
