On Sunday night, Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" has a chance to win a few Oscars. CNN's Bill Schneider discusses how a Gore victory on Sunday might encourage him to run for president in 2008.
The New York Observer confirmed a few weeks ago that Gore is leaving the door open for a possible September entry into the presidential race:
"According to one influential Democratic insider, close associates of the former Vice President have communicated to him and other prominent fund-raisers who are uncommitted to the other '08 candidates that Mr. Gore will consider entering the race—if an opening presents itself—in September."
To this day, no Gore official has stepped forward to deny that report. It would definitely be something to have Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Richardson and Gore all vying for the nomination.
