This video is the best short intensive education in constitutional law and practice that you are ever likely to get. It makes clear that anything short of impeaching Bush is a betrayal.

Bill Moyers' guests,John Nichols & Bruce Fein have it right. Impeachment of Cheney, then Bush is the cure, not the problem. They have exceeded their Constitutional power, and should be spanked hard. IF their excesses are overlooked, then there is a precedant for any following executives to do the same. Impeachment SHOULD be on the table. Nancy Pelosi should recuse herself, since she is 3rd in line, and let some real statesman lead the move to impeach. Do we have such a statesman willing to risk his/her career? Maybe the votes are not there, but there must be a try.

Hurray for Bill Moyers! He is the only investigative reporter on TV that speaks the truth. Shame on other so-called reporters who ignore these important facts in these distressful times. Another problem is the youth of this country who are not taking an active stance against this criminal administration unlike my generation who ended an unjust war and ultimately ended a presidency.

The only way to stop this outlaw administration is impeachment. Those in Bush/Cheney service are thugs who employ the same techniques to secure power as the mob, primarily by subduing the judiciary. The remaining republicans (26%) that support this administration are showing themselves to be sicophants that will always bow down and lick the boots of their leader, no matter how despicable those leaders are. They should be treated as societal pariahs, and many perhaps should be considered for 24 hr. observation in a mental facility, as they are completely out of touch with reality.

Impeachment is inevitable. Bush and Cheney are playing Constitutional chicken: nothing short of impeachment will stop them.

Otherwise, there is lack of ethics, and ignorance of law, on the part of many who demand impeachment -- espcially those who attack Pelosi, and the Democrats. Basic facts.

We the people are the ultimate check on our gov't. For impeachment to be valid, it must be non-partisan; thus it must begin with We the people, and pressed upon Congress.

Third in line for the presidency is the Speaker of the House. Pelosi is the Speaker of the House. As concerns ethics, and conflicts of interest, Pelosi is the _LAST_ person in Congress who should initiate impeachment.

As for the Democrats having the majorities in the House and Senate, and thus having control of Congress. The "majority" in the Senate is essentially an illusion. The majority in the House is not sufficient by itself to override vetoes, or initiate impeachment; they haven't (yet) sufficient votes because of the foot-draggers who are on the record as being about obstructing the Democrats. Those foot-dragging obstructionists are the REPUBLICANS.

Instead of attacking the Democrats -- not a constructive means of communication if one wants change -- attack the foot-dragging obstructionists.

"Democracy is responsibilitiy." -- Justice Louis Brandeis. The process of law takes time; or do you want the Democrats to be uncivil bullies like the Republicans, who you hate because that? Congress, in a real and intended way, lags We the people. Our is a representative democray. Congress is there to represent We the people, not guess at what We the people want.

Democracy is participatory; it is not a movie, a cop show on TeeTvee, or a movie. Or a football game. Communicate directly, civilly, and consistently, without let up, to your Senators and representatives that the only tool by means of which to stop the lawless Bush and Cheney is impeachment. It is inevtiable, as they will ignore all efforts to constrain them which are short of that.

Impeachment is inevitable. Make it happen.

Honest, open, insightful. We need our congress play the impeachment process out for the sake of our country.

I agree with the sholars in this video, that there are no statesmen currently serving in Congress. No one who truly understands the Constitution, and therefore no one who truly understands how dire is our peril. Impeachment is THE ONLY TOOL that Congress has left that cannot be blocked or worked around by this administration. With the DOJ and other agencies thoroughly politicized, the Supreme Court stacked, impeachment is the only trump card left. It is the only serious threat that might actually reign in this obscene rush to throw away all our freedoms and embark on perpetual war, based on pumped-up fear. I know most people automatically dismiss such claims, but what's happening now is eerily similar to what happened in Germany in the early 1930s. I highly recommend this video, I show it to all my friends that think I'm over-the-top about this.

It is the constitutional duty of Congress to move to impeach Bush and Cheney. It is an offence against the Constitution to not act. Pelosi should pull her head out of the sand and understand that this is the will of the people and to not do so will be political suicide for her and her fellow democrats.

Not only has the Bush administration lied to the American people, but they have obstructed justice to cover their own asses. Not even Nixon had the audacity to tell John Dean (his White House counsel) to not testify before Congress! Bush told Harriet Myers (his White House counsel) that she could not appear before Congress this past week!

And Sarah Taylor (Bush's aide) incorrectly said to Congress this past week that she took an OATH TO THE PRESIDENT! The President! She took an oath to the Constitution! Get it straight, Sarah. Who is your responsibility to??? The American People!
