Welome to the "Global Economy". Wal-Mart is just a prime example of how governments and corporations that represent the world's elitist major shareholders have conspired to put profits in their pockets above human decency and fairness. This is "Darwinian Capitalist Economics" at its zenith.

The same oppressions that created movements in the past against "robber barons" and brought about works by the likes of Marx and Engels, Gene Debs, uninoization, etc., is the battle that faces us now.
Bash the unions because they became corrupt and were bought out by corporations and government. Bash the disposable WIFM consumer mentality that we are brainwashed with.
"We" allowed the "Wal-Marts" to become the monsters that they are much like Henry Frankenstein's "Godlike" arrogance gave birth to his creature.
Unless "We The People" stand up and say "we are made as hell and are not going to take it anymore", we'll continue to have the large stick of government and indsurty shoved up our rectums and continue to be mentally anesthesized by their propaganda and lies. We will continue to barely survive on the trickle-down crumbs that the few rich with dollars and poor with conscience will allow us. Of course, maybe I am just seeing things from the wrong point of view.....

How can you support a company that at the very least closes it's eyes to slave labor no matter where in the world the peple work. For that matter they knowingly put the lives of our most prized possessions our children at risk. Ford realised in order to sell his product he had to pay the blue collar workers enough money to also buy his product. Wal-Mart employees are searching garage sales and thrift stores for many of their needs. I advoid Wal-Mart like the plague because that is exactly what it is!

I've really got to say, it seems a little silly to complain that someone is only going after one group of people who are doing damage to so many, even when there are a myriad of groups world wide doing much the same thing. Without one person willing to stand up to one company, no one else will ever be inspired to action. Degrading the underdog is not only rude, it's self deprecating... because really... if no one will try to stop them, then they are NEVER going to stop.

I agree with sick of hypocrissy, why not go after fast food restaurant industry they pay their employees the lowest amount possible, or how about other retail stores like k-mart. and you might as well go after convienance stores as well cause their pay is just as bad. IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE TO ATTACK ONLY WAL-MART.

Mr. "Sick of Hypocrisy": You asked who is being hurt by Wal-Mart's existence. The list is too long for a short blog reply, but let's see: many Wal-Mart employees who can't afford a doctor due to inadequate health care, must live below the poverty line, local businesses which understood the community better than a global corporation ever could, environmental pollution.. I could go on. I don't think I need to. You either understand these issues and agree Wal-Mart, as the biggest retailer on planet Earth, has a lot to answer for and aggressively work to fix, or you simply refuse to accept the facts and live in a dream world. I hope it's not the latter.

Walmart provides jobs for people, usually lower/middle class.

Walmart saves people money.

Walmart's low prices keep prices low at other local businesses.

Walmart provides jobs and business to overseas suppliers.

Why don't you people attack the restaurant industry, which also pays little and provides virtually no health insurance??? Because they are beyond union reach.

Can someone explain to me exactly who is being "hurt" by Walmart's existence, other than the greedy unions????
