So Conyers came out swinging with his response to Fox’s accidental/purposeful “mistake” showing Conyers instead of Jefferson. Among the highlights was this:
Fox News has a history of inappropriate on-air mistakes that are neither fair, nor balanced. This type of disrespect for people of color should no longer be tolerated.
Great, right? But here’s the problem: Conyers is one of the 26 CBC members who recently signed a letter begging Obama, Edwards, and Clinton to attend the Fox/CBC debate in Detroit. Did Conyers only notice Fox’s “history” of racist reporting after he was a target of it? Or did he always know it but wanted to give Fox the benefit of the doubt?
