How ‘bout dem apples!?!
Home Depot is now telling people who call or email them that they absolutely will not advertise on the O’Reilly factor! They also claim they never have — if any of you out there can confirm that, let me know.
Americablog has these emails sent from Home Depot:

Subject: FW: PULL SUPPORT FOR OREILLY
Good morning,
Thank you very much for your message. The Home Depot has a policy that prohibits the running of its advertising on programs that express strong opinions or political views. Please note that this includes Bill O’Reilly’s program.
Thank you,
Ron
Even if HD’s ads have never run on O’Reilly, this is a great first step, which actually opens up a huge hole for us to exploit. If it’s true that HD “prohibits the running of its advertising on programs that express strong opinions or political views,” that includes ALL of Faux News, which infects all of its reporting with attacks on Democrats, liberals, minorities, protestors, atheists, you name it. Plus, it means they should absolutely pull their advertising from Hannity & Colmes, especially since Hannity is the worst of Faux’s global warming deniers.
Good job, Fox Attackers! Be psyched!
But this is a marathon, not a sprint...
There’s more to do. If you can, please send Home Depot a very polite letter praising them for committing to not advertise on the O’Reilly Factor, but remind them that they should make a similar commitment to not advertise during Hannity & Colmes. And also mention that all of Faux’s reporting contains “strong opinions or political views” against the groups I mentioned above.
