McCain Off-Key on Trillion Dollar War

There is no issue more serious then the continued militarization of our country and our culture. We have seen this and exposed this from Uncovered to Iraq for Sale to Fox Attacks Iran.

But right now, we want to call attention to someone who not only embraces the song of war, he literally sings it!  We bring you that Oldie but Baddie: John McCain sings "Bomb Iran."

The mainstream press is absorbed in the presidential race — the latest poll numbers, the in-fighting between Obama and Clinton — while we seek to expose the true story humming just beneath the surface (yes, this calls for some major puns in a matter very serious… sometimes satire can be the most effective way to reach people).

Take a moment to spread this video. Let everyone see firsthand (with a little help from our composers) that the senator embraces war in a dangerous and irresponsible manner.

The main stream media is the tool that is used to convey information to millions of homes regardless if the information is truthful or not. Not much faith can be put into a main stream media outlet because of the small number of huge corporations that control a large portion of the mainstream media. The consolidations of media outlets that is taking place now only allows for a more unified reporting style wether be conservative or liberal.
The main stream media is used to gain consent from the public for the government to take actions the ordinarily would be unacceptable and examples would be the domestic spying that has taken or the case for the Iraq war. The American public were led to believe for months that Saddam Hussien had or was making nuclear weapons and the people conveying some of the information were paid pentagon officials. People were trusting of the government and the information being provided by the main stream media.
The situation with the current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are very slow to progress and will be for quite some time and it is clear that ancient lands are no where near becoming self sustaining countries and the politicians know that fact as do most journalists. The notion that Senator Obama or Senator McCain will be able to end two wars is a complete fabrication. What has been ignited in those two countries is now spreading to Pakistan and other countries in the middle east and Africa.
The two-party politics that have controlled the U.S. government for quite some time have an overall strategy that closely resemble one another and the lack of coverage for third party candidates from media outlets does a huge disservice to America's elections as does the blocking of participation of third party candidates at presidential debates.

You're comparing Marijuana to the war in Iraq? You're saying that it's more dangerous to our society than being lied to and tricked into a war by our leaders whom we elect to protect us. We went there originally to find weapons of mass destruction . It’s been since 2003 if they’re not there are we still looking? If we are not looking can we start bringing soldiers home? If it is established that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and probably never were can the president be prosecuted for unjustly sending thousands of Americans to die for nothing? I graduated from high school in 2001, and all most as many kids in my class enlisted for service as went to college. We had recruiters in or guidance office every day. They would hand out key chains and tee shirts at lunch if you joined their mailing lists. In my small town alone in my 150 person class I know of at least two people who were killed abroad. That might not seem like a lot but think of all the people that touches. I’ve been to funeral processions/ parades that shut down the main street adorned with hundreds of on lookers who put their politics aside for the day to respect the families and honor their young heroes. None of the people I know who joined the military eight years ago when they were eighteen could have foreseen September 11th or the events leading up to the Iraq war, most of them were just looking for a way to pay for college, why should they solely have to pay the price?

    ROBERT N MARLEY

    LYRICS: War

Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
    And another
    Inferior
    Is finally
    And permanently
    Discredited
    And abandoned -
    Everywhere is war -
    Me say war.
    That until there no longer
First class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes -
    Me say war.

That until the basic human rights
    Are equally guaranteed to all,
    Without regard to race -
    Dis a war.

    That until that day
    The dream of lasting peace,
    World citizenship
    Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion to be pursued,
    But never attained -
Now everywhere is war - war.

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
that hold our brothers in Angola,
    In Mozambique,
    South Africa
    Sub-human bondage
    Have been toppled,
    Utterly destroyed -
    Well, everywhere is war -
    Me say war.

    War in the east,
    War in the west,
    War up north,
    War down south -
    War - war -
    Rumours of war.
    And until that day,
    The African continent
    Will not know peace,
We Africans will fight - we find it necessary -
And we know we shall win
    As we are confident
    In the victory

    Of good over evil -
    Good over evil, yeah!
    Good over evil -
    Good over evil, yeah!
    Good over evil -
    Good over evil, yeah!

    Hey Angel,

I bet you said the exact same thing about Bush. And as we all know that is well south of crazy talk.
  • zippety
I don't understand how a man who jokes about bombing Iran can be a serious contender for a leader of the Free world. It blows my mind! and my lunch as well! God, please help us all.
  • john
Why vote for anyone other than McCain when he's going to win anyways?! He is just another dejavu like Bush who had a couple good friends in power (in bush's case family) Who WILL cheat them in one way or another to be president. This is not conspiracy, you "WILL" see. And there's nothing "YOU" can do! McCain will get the same treatment as Bush did once he becomes president. Start stocking up the eggs!

I've read some intelligent comments and some comments so idiotic that I fear for the future of our children's education AND survival. The bottom line is that anyone who is fooled by a man like McPain, a man who is rigidly fixated on war, who lies through his teeth while fooling himself that he is a vehicle for truth, who has brain DNA that is arguably only borderline-normal, if that - ANYONE who hasn't been able to figure out what this dangerous lunatic will do to the country, CONTINUING IT'S DOWNWARD SPIRAL INTO A TOTAL WIPE-OUT, is him/herself a frighteningly dangerous threat to the country. There is nothing more pernicious than ignorance - except a willful and malicious destructive nature like McPain in a leadership position. And if these ignorant people vote for him in large enough numbers to actually let him win....we are indeed LOST FOREVER. There is no time left. Sanity must return. Think, don't just blindly cheer and accept. This is how Hitler got his public. From blind, stupid and reflexive adoration. THINK THINK THINK. If you have one shred of foresight use it. And if you don't, you have doomed yourselves along with the rest of us. This is not a 'regular' election. This is a critical turning point for the United States and, as a result, for the WORLD. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT.

My uncle Perry was in the Hanoi Hilton with John McCain. He told me that McCain used to mutter things about Jesus in his sleep, was prone to fits of violent temper, and that when the Vietcong offered to release him he refused, saying that he preferred his treatment there. The reasons for this always eluded my uncle, until it occurred to him that McCain must have preferred the hot prison sex that was offered to him.

America must pay attention not to be deceived by John McCain and his party.A vote for John mcCain is a vote for George W Bush.Noway!! America wake up!!!!!Ben ndukwe

I'm sick of John McCain's story on being a prisoner of war. Is this all that qualifies him to be President? I consider him a war-monger. Remember his statement of "BOMB BOMB".
  • Robert, I could just kiss you! Thank you and thank you to all of you at Brave New Films for doing all that you do.

America has become such video/TV/Movie junkies that unless something is before our eyes with flashy graphics info just doesn't get disseminated. Not only do you go a long way toward informing people, but having you on the progressive side of things helps us to feel like more of a force. It is hard to fight for what you believe in when you are opposed by the forces of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and all those who back them behind the dark curtains. Thank you for empowering us!
  • Simon Petersen
Let's be honest here. John McCain and Barak Obama pretty much have the same opinion, about being able to go to war without a UN mandate. And thanks to George W. Bush's choice to invade Iraq, my country (Denmark) has gone to war for the first time in over a 100 years. And we went to war on a false background.

How can we (europeans) be sure this wont happen again? The US (republicans and democrats) have to stop playing World Police and think that invading countries and forcing them to be democracies, will make this world a safer place. It couldn't be further from the truth.

Not everyone agrees with the US morals and values. Not even in Europe.
  • Not saying that
    Some people need a life...

If you're going to freak out about John McCain saying we might be in Iraq for 100 years, maybe you're the "inbreeds".

When McCain said that, he meant that we'd stay in like we're still in Germany. When you use the logic you're using, you might as well just say we're still fighting the Germans.

The person below me said JFK was a great man, but he started the Vietnam War, the war you love to compare to the Iraq War... Are you saying Bush is the modern day JFK?

When you look beyond all the fear-mongering and propaganda put out by paranoid websites like this, you'll realize that McCain is not an evil war-mongerer bent on destroying the world. You need to look from an independent viewpoint, websites like this go on rampages every election season and are very good at convincing simple minded people that the other candidate is the bad guy. This occurs to both Republicans and Democrats.

You forget that before John McCain became a presidential nominee, liberals actually liked him.

What the country really needs in a president is someone who can unite us, someone who is moderate able to work with the other side. This wasn't Bush, and it won't be Obama either. Although I'm sure you love this, Obama has the most liberal voting record in the senate, but being far left only works for the small amount of Americans who actually give in to websites like this.

In this case, it's McCain who is the moderate and therefore the best candidate to unite the American people. All Obama will unite are a bunch of white guilty liberals.

So use your brain and pick someone who has a proven record of independent leadership and ideals, someone who suffered for this country, and someone who can once again make it great.

    John McCain

BUSH and MCCAIN is like a RUSH of COCCAINE!!!! it freaking KILLS!!!

    OBAMA IS THE MAN!!!!!
  • McCain's record in Vietnam as a prisoner is heroic but Duke Cunningham was a real and much greater hero in Vietnam and he now languishes in prison sadly..

Is there something that makes McCain believe he is so entitled due to his war record that causes him to now align himself with a swindler like Phil Gramm..as his chief economic adviser which is akin to making Willie Sutton the Treasurer of the United States..?

Phil Gramm the former Senator from Texistan who is directly responsible for both the Sub Prime Mortgage Crisis as a front man for UBS, as well as the artificial speculation and run up of oil prices due to Gramm's slipping through the Enron loophole allowing such an important asset and vital strategic product as Oil to be used as a weapon of asymmetrical economic warfare against the America people and even our most faithful and important allies in the western industrialized nations..?

Does John McCain hate his fellow Americans so greatly that he wishes to increase and inflict as much hardship upon them and our nations economy as would some enemy employing these asymmetrical economic warfare tactics as are those of this cabal of Enron former traders (and also traitors) that he has surrounded himself with these swindlers and crooks from Texas or Texistan as I call it..?

There's a thin line sometimes crossed by those who are or were heroes and later slip into treason or act as an enemy of our nations people, who face real hardships due to those McCain has chosen to align himself with, both in the cost of energy and also trying to remain in their homes..

Also is it possibly Alzheimer's that causes these many lapses and so called gaffes McCain has committed in such important issues concerning American national security and the disposition of our troops and levels of violence and maybe even his association with swindlers and cad and villains like Phil Gramm and others who serve and represent murderers and dictators and even Iran as is now come to light..

Is McCain fit for office both ethically and also psychologically..

Not in my book, not a chance..
  • Kim K.
I think McCain should have had John Hagee doing the background vocals..those two idiots are birds of a feather!!! I wonder if McCain is indeed, nuts. One thing he is...a warmonger!
  • john t rosser
Am I the only one who suspects that George Bush,Dick Cheney, and John McSame are the products of in breeding?Thats the only way to explain their stupidity and blind arrogance?
Perhaps American's should require presidential candidates to undergo DNA testing to prevent future disasters such as this!
Also,as a Florida Democratic voter who voted in the Jan. 29th primary I feel that if my vote is not counted-I should refuse to pay ANY taxes to a corrupt government-remember 232 years ago the American freedom fighters motto "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION" what is different today?
This exposes the great "American Illusion Of Democracy" for what it really is!

I didn't think anyone could match Bush for annoying, obnoxious behavior, but this idiot might actually surpass him.Do you really have to be a Democrat to see through this dangerous man?How much longer can this continue?I simply can't imagine McCain winning the election. Is it really possible he might?
  • Chanda Valentine
I agree, this man could be WORST than Bush
  • KevinRose
In response to David, yes we did start the problems in Iraq, but we will never defeat Al_queda by keeping a large military presence in that area as that is the main reason they hate us to begin with. Osama Bin Laden did not take exception to the USA in any real way until after the first gulf war where we loaded our military into Saudi Arabia. That was what got him started and until we no longer have our forces htere we will be fighting those who view that occupation as an insult to their faith. Right or wrong, that is still the main factor in their hatred of us. That and our constant need to tell them how to live. Was it not the Republicans who wanted less nation building and more domestic issues? How soon we forget.
  • There was an article in the European published Fincancial Times and it said that the Bush administration have extremely lied about what is being spent already in Iraq!

The article in FT in fact mentioned 6 Trillion Dollar! Could this be a part of the ongoing credit crisis?
  • I was trying to find a way to e-mail you, but this is the next best way of contacting. I want to applaud you for the efforts your making towards the outrage that has become mainstream news. I look at all the terrible decisions and loss of freedoms we Americans suffer everyday and I can't help but feel buried under a corrupt system. It can be a really horrible feeling to know the country you live in is headed and has been headed in the wrong direction for years, but yet, we the people, are helpless to rectify it's mistakes, and it doesn't help that mainstream media (with a lot of the blame falling on Fox News) feeds the population lies and distortions of the truth, so much so, that most people don't even understand the under and innerworkings of our government now. For your efforts in helping the country, I am greatly appreciative and in awe of your drive and determination in the matter, you AND the other organizations that work together to right the wrongs.
With that being said, I would like to add a thought about Senator Ron Paul. As I described earlier, watching the country follow this path hurts me and worries me about my future in this world. To hear words coming from a politician, let alone a Republican, (the word became blasphemous to me within months of Bush being elected) that match my ideals and thoughts on the way things should be, and following the Constitution to save our liberties, the economy, and our futures, it was to say the least, refreshing. I forgot my republican hatred as I read and watched more and more from him, finding that he rarely speaks of policy or actions that would come to harm the country. He wants to get us back to basics. Then I looked at his website to see how many polls he's one, and low and behold, he's won more than McCain or any other candidate, but yet no one/media organization wants to give him the time of day. McCain is obviously who the Republicans want to push as a candidate, but it makes no sense! These people have too much power, they're supposed to have our best intrests in mind and if a majority of people side with the views of Mr. Paul, than why is that being ignored BLATENTLY. I know why and I'm sure you do as well, it's all about power, McCain keeps the power in the hands of the wrong, like the IRS, the unconstitutional-money-sucking wars, and so on, and so they back him.
Here's the question, if you want to question authority, the media, and the actions of politicians/the government in general, why not give them what the democrats AND republicans don't, and that is for the American people to wake up to the fact that we NEED change, and drastic change indeed to correct the atrocities we have come to know as daily life in our ever-growing facist government.
Again, I applaud your efforts, but please consider the points I have made and if you are anti-republican, anti-Ron Paul, or whatever the case, realize the concept and the opportunity available to your cause and the country through supporting or at the very least, exposing the mistreatment of Ron Paul.
Thank you so much for your time and reading this, you have my e-mail if you would like to contact me or discuss anything further. Best of luck to you and your cause, sir.
  • David M Burwen
    Robert,

I've been supportive of many of your past films, such as the attacks on Fox news and Mike Savage. For example, I used my contacts to get sponsorships at Intuit and the USO to pulled from Savages program.

Although I support Hillary for President and am a life long Democrat, I very much object to the nature of your attacks on McCain.

What I don't like about the attack on McCain is that it distorts his position and tries to demean him personally. McCain happens to think that we are in a war on Terrorism and that Iraq is part of that conflict. Although many of us think that it was a mistake to have gone into Iraq in the first place, the fact of the matter is that we did and, since we broke it, we now have a responsibility to fix it to the extent that we can.

I understand that this position is debatable and should be debated. However, those of us who believe that we need to work through the Iraq situation to try to stabilize the country and defeat Al Qaeda, are not war mongers. Our position may not be correct, but it is not thoughtless in the way the film represents McCain.

I think that you have done a terrific job in many of your campaigns so far. You have previously tried to objectively show the methods used by Fax and Savage to challenge and attack them. This is a good way to effect change.

However, this last campaign reminds me of the type of tactics used by the right wing noise machine, and I hate to see Brave New Films using this type of distortion and personal attack.

    Best,
    David
