Rachel Maddow Mocks Fox News Teabaggers

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Teabagging is sweeping the nation. Rachel Maddow did a report on this new, conservative, right-wing phenomenon on her show recently, in a segment that began with the chyron “InsaniTea.” She summarized the high points of Fox News’s plethora of coverage including Neil Cavuto saying “we’re all over it” (eww) and Griff Jenkins (sporting colonial hat) reading the movement’s admonition to “teabag the White House.” (Lots of cajones needed for a building that size; but today’s conservatives are muy macho!)

Maddow’s coverage was quite informative. While she said that the movement’s organizers can’t be held responsible for who shows up, there is a great deal of interest in the white supremacist and militia community. (Fans of Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, or leftist “plants?”) She said that Republican Senator David (diaper) Vitter wants a law honoring April 15th as a national tea party day. But I thought that Ana Marie Cox’s comment was just so right – “who wouldn’t want to teabag John McCain?” Speaking of Fox, when Glenn Beck and Neil Cavuto were doing a little teabagging talk, Beck said that the teabaggers were “hacked off at George W. Bush” because “they were angry at the spending of the Republicans.” Funny, I don’t recall any populist outrage. Is that because their mouths were full of tea – bags? Who knows! But one thing is for sure – Fox News loves teabagging.

MSNBC reports facts while Fox reports FAUX or misinformation. Bill O'Reilly is an asshole who wouldn't admit the truth if it hit him in the face. During Reagan years, the wealthiest in this country were taxed 10% more than they are paying now--and the 1% of the American population that hold the most wealth are complaining that they have a 3% increase--that's 7% less than twenty plus years ago under REAGAN???? It's about time that they step up and pay--they've kept their children out of the IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN quagmire while thousands of middle class parents have offered up their children to BUSH's personal war on Saddam. Who's made the sacrifice for our country--NOT the 1% of the wealthiest in this country. So Faux news can stick this so-called "revolt" against bigger government (government spending increased multi-fold under BUSH/CHENEY--and got us into hock to China and other foreign countries--spending got OUT OF CONTROL under the repulsive REPUBLICANS !!!) up the MISINFORMED citizens--especially the stupid TEXANS.
So, "texasconervative" you are NOT concerned about anyone except the 1% of the wealthiest in this country; the other 99% is just fodder to be ground down further with mouth pieces like you sucking at the root of the 1%. You, Rush Limbaugh (who made $38 MILLION last year), Bill O'Reilly and the other wing nuts of the Fox (FAUX) news are BITCHES for the wealthiest and eat their dung--I hope you enjoy it.

It's just this type of narrow minded reporting that has put MSNBC at or near the bottom. The revolt against bigger government and bigger spending is an issue all Americans are concerned about, not just conservatives!
Why aren't we seeing videos of Barney Franks, and Maxine Waters covering up for Fannie Mae? How about showing a video of John McCain trying to get legislation introduced that would have put a stop to sub-prime lending before it got out of control? I would have loved to see the Liberal bastards faces on a video when they voted against that bill?
