The Preshevo valley, located in southern Serbia, borders Kosovo, and has a mixed ethnic Albanian and Serb population.

Nearly eight years ago, Albanian fighters and Serbian government troops fought a 'low-level' conflict in the valley.

Al Jazeera's Barnaby Philips travelled to Preshevo and reports on how people there are worried that events in Kosovo, and the current political stalemate, could destabilise their valley.
