I don't know if any of you were watching the Simpsons' great parody of our elections last night. If not, there was a scene where a panel is introduced on a talk show (I think it was that crazy old bat McLaughlin if I remember correctly), and when a print journalist is introduced, Nelson gives a hearty Ha Ha!, and tells the guy print media is dying.
That brings me to the wisdom of adding a man to the opinion page who's been wrong so often that it will be an evolutionary trait for future generations of Kristols. I was going to rip him for the usual inside the Beltway CV such as "we're winning in Iraq" and the "likeability" nonsense, but really, can I tell you anything you don't know already about a guy who used to call Dan Quayle boss?
Well maybe one thing. He thinks the majority of people still agree with him on Iraq. Buddy, take your hands off Haggard's pipe...
