The Timeline for IRAQ is "Global Warming"
The US military is the largest single consumer of fossil fuels on planet earth. This does not include GHG's emitted by Halliburton and many more civilian contractors.
A 5-part video question submitted Harold Saive (Save) in Gainesville, Florida challenges candidates to explain how we can solve Global Warming (GW) while our military releases huge quantities of greenhouse gases (GHG's) in pursuit of control of the major culprit in GW -- fossil fuels (oil).
Should US policy continue to gush GHG's into the atmosphere and stratosphere in military pursuit of oil resources? ... or does our planetary climate emergency call for a revolution of US foreign policy from "ALL WAR" to "ALL PEACE" to begin the immediate steps necessary to solve the most devastating consequences GW?.
Every day US forces, Halliburton and a myriad of civilian contractors burn fossil fuels in Iraq could translate into is a month lost in the race to effectively cut the US rate of GHG emissions.
The US can't win one without conceding the other. Bush's policy of victory in Iraq could lose the climate. But losing the climate for all time could give up far more than admitting that Bush lost a "victory" in Iraq.
