Leviticus 20:9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
The Law is the Law right?
Contrary to popular belief, our immigration laws are not perfect. Many may ask us, "Why don't you go back and apply the legal way?" This presupposes that the laws are there to help students like ourselves who were brought into the country through no fault of our own. Actually, as pointed out before, USCIS is not perfect, nor is its laws even close to godhood. Many people fall through the cracks--the system needs to be amended.
Many of us did not know that once we turned 18 and overstayed more than three months, the ten year ban applies to us. This means that if we were to apply 'the legal way,' we would be banned from entering the country for ten years. There is no way to overcome the ban. What would you do?
If you think this is just, then you might as well go ahead and believe everything Leviticus says, including that quote above. Or you can look at this one and decipher for yourself what is the best thing to do in our situation:
Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
