Mar. 10 - U.S. stocks slumped, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closing at 2006 lows, after speculation and rumors kept investors on edge. The Dow fell 153 points to 11,740. The S&P 500 lost 20 points to 1,273. The Nasdaq fell 43 points to 2,169. Crude oil closed at a record $107.85.
