Iran demonization propaganda. De la France, avec amour.
I dont know if you have noticed the massive and incredibly positive media coverage of this movie. It was featured 3 different times in 2 months in my local newspaper (the same newspaper that is).
But how coherent 'Persepolis' really is? Veiled facts, misconceptions, racism, and arbitrarity abound in a self-proclaimed autobiography that is given the character of factual, or of a 'sincere' intimate approach at the situation of a nation.
How much of a coincidence is it that a demonization movie like 'Persepolis' is being showcased globally and given full media coverage, at the most key times of the West-Iran tensions, when it was awarded in Cannes over a year ago?
