Tomorrow This Brave Nation hero Pete Seeger celebrates his 89th birthday!  In addition to being one of the country’s most beloved folk singers, Pete was involved with every major movement in the twentieth century;  the labor movement, he was blacklisted during the McCarthy era, he marched with Dr. Martin Luther King in the struggle for civil rights, he was an outspoken anti-war activist during the Vietnam War, and he expressed his love for nature and the environment through his non-profit organization Clearwater.
