In any case, Biden went one step further and started talking cabinet (I am sorry, I respect Dick Lugar more than most GOPers, but I won't trust any Republican with foreign policy for at least a generation).
Meanwhile, John Edwards gave the answer I was looking for. No triangulation, no compromising. The American people support us on the issues with wide majorities, from redeploying from Iraq to taxing corporations, federal funding of stem cell research to universal healthcare. So as Edwards said, "no to triangulation," and yes to standing up for what is right.
