I just posted the email response I received from the USDA elsewhere on this site, but I thought it would be useful to include it here as well...
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is not a sponsor of the Michael Savage program. Any radio station in the country can choose to run our public service announcements without our knowledge. They air them free of charge. USDA has purchased no commercial time for these to air.

Here are the responses I received from from Mr. Webster at the USDA and from GEICO Insurance Company about my emails requesting they don't pay for or air advertising or PSA's on Savage's shows.
I find the airing of PSA's for the USDA most disturbing because it sends the message that the Government approves of Savage's message. Here is the USDA's response...
