Guest speakers, bands, rappers and song writers come together for the Sacramento Peace Festival, aimed at building awareness and unity for a peaceful world.

“You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can't bomb it into peace,” from the song, “Bomb the World” by Michael Franti was the prompt for this year’s 2007 High School Scholarship Essay Contest held by the Sacramento chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility. These three students were chosen from a field of 165 entries for their outstanding essays.
