Addy, I really do love Texas. Even with all these awful republicans. Many of who used to be democrats until Reagan tricked them into thinking he was more than an actor.

We Texas democrats know good and well that our state will be red in the prez race in November. Look, our votes for prez haven't mattered in a primary or in the general election in a very long time. Democrats didn't campaign here. It's like not even getting to vote or have a say in who is prez. We are so flattered to have the candidates court us, I cannot imagine any of us being upset with Hillary stating the obvious. |

McCain could get jail time. Up to five years from what I have read. Plus stiff fines.
The Romney boys may be back on the campaign trail! |

oh, crap. It was Burt Lancaster, not Mitchum. Husband just got home and I checked my story. At the time, spouse was a mere parking attendant. They had closed off an entrance to the parking gargage and told him that under no circumstances was he to let any car come in that way. At the time husband because he is tall, but he is only about 18 so he is just a skinny kid. He's knocked a few heads in his time, but it was when he was a bit older and beefier. Burt's car (limo?) pulls up. Burt wants the barrier moved. Nope. Burt demands it be moved. Sorry. After a little more demanding, Burt gets out of car. Hubby describes him as a "giant". Hub stands his ground. He's a kid, he thinks he has to do exactly as the boss says. Giant picks him up and throws him several feet. All the attendants rush over and look all muscle-ly and tough and Burt decides maybe he will park somewhere else. The end. |

I fixed a faucet yesterday. I'm so proud. It only took two meltdowns. I like Lowe's better than Home Depot. |

around 1969 -- let's see -- for some event he had to get security clearance to operate the elevator for Nixon. He once mentioned that Don Knotts always showed up in a convertible with a variety of buxom beauties. He got in a slight tussle with Robert Mitchum. Robert had been bending the elbow a bit much. |

My husband went to high school and one of his college years in LA. He worked at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (right name?)and was an usher at the Oscars. And the films were talkies by then. ;) |

I have loved Bill and Hillary and defended them all these years. And Hillary's campaign has been an embarrassment. She makes the claim of being ready from day one and yet her campaign has had some major mistakes, bad money management, and poor strategy. I'm disappointed. It's more than just that Obama has a message people are responding to and that he is an inspirational speaker. His campaign has been the one to be the best organizer in each state. They have won by all the ground work their campaign has done. And I am totally mystified why the Clinton campaign was not the master of field operations. But disappointed or not, if by some miracle she wins all the rest of the delegates and is the nominee, I will gladly support her. |

So we're crazy in Texas. It's true. But they are out voting in droves in Dallas today and I can guarantee it isn't the repubs showing up in big numbers to vote early.

The good news is that thinking about using a Rabbi as a source to 'prove' Obama is a Muslim should make many of those bigots' heads explode. Watch this site for video of exploding pointy heads. |

there/their/there -- ALL the time! Makes me nuts. Well, that and a few other things may qualify me for nutland. Damn. I just typed 'their' instead of 'that'. Maybe the jihadists have taken over my keyboard. How stupid does one have to be to preach politics in a public school? I mean besides being stupid enough to believe the Muslim crap about Obama. |

temporary interuptus: I post on a very small message board -mostly Texas guys who consider themselves conservative -- even the ones who are democrats. Just saw this from one of them (in response to a topic of how diverse the state is):
"I'm white, I'm middle aged, I'm a moderate conservative and I voted in the early primary. For Obama."
I just get so happy to keep hearing from self-described conservatives and some republicans that they are voting for a democrat.
Now back to who is going to seduce George.
Clooney. The sexy, smart George.
