We rented a house on the Jersey shore for my mother's 80th birthday. I drove up from D.C. to join her late Wednesday night. As I was parking, it appeared in my headlights coming in out of the dune. It was confused. Elusive.

During my mother's 80th birthweek, she started blowing bubbles. The cause was never found.
