Poem by Jean-Henri Sadot/music by Vic Sadot brings to mind the time in 1940 after Jean-Henri Sadot fled from Normandy to the Spanish border and joined the Resistance camps. He eventually went to Toulon, joined the Free French navy, and served for 6 years on the cruiser Gloire, which participated in the invasion of Provence in 1944. Last 2 verses by Vic.

This long forgotten poem by Jean-Henri Sadot was set to music by Lionel Bernard and sung by Jerome Pannier, two young citizens of Jean-Henri Sadot's native Normandy, France. They visited the Jean Sadot heritage website, read his memoirs and poems, and Lionel set this poem to his excellent and appropriate music. Other parts were added "stateside" by Vic & Rob Sadot, Dean A. Banks, and Ellen Lebowitz. The song celebrates how the Statue of Liberty represents American democracy and the unique historic friendship between France and the USA. It was a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States and was designated a National Monument on October 15, 1924. Somewhere out in the cosmos Jean-Henri Sadot must be smiling at this Franco-American musical project on his poem even as he winces at the crude remarks of America's first President-Selected by the Supreme Court and his entourage of Neo-Con war profiteers.

A ballad about American pro-football star, citizen and soldier, Pat Tillman. Like most of us at first, he believed George Bush's lies about 9/11 and WMD. Unfortunately, it was not until he went to Iraq that he investigated and declared that war to be "illegal". He was killed in his second tour of combat, which was in Afghanistan. Then came the Pentagon lies to his family, the media and the public about he died. This was followed by an orchestrated cover up that Tillman's parents and investigative reporters were able to eventually expose.
