This is further proof that we all are responsible for letting our government know that what we need to do is get OFF the Oil Truck and put our people to work developing sun, wind and geothermal technologies, before we have to buy that information from Japan or China. If we are first to do so, then we will be first to sell it to others. We can then, again, become the economic leaders of the world. Everyone who reads this has to share this information with their family and friends. Write a letter to the Editor of your hometown newspaper. Put pressure on your candidate, for this election to make that priority #1 of his candidacy. This would solve many of our woes.

Thank you so much for this well thought out and researched commentary. Why don't I see points of view like this in the NY Times, on T.V. News or other, so called New Media? You have answered the Who, What, Why, When or Where just like the media reporters of old. That is something that the post Baby Boomers know nothing about and I'm only 56! I am so sick of the robotic "talking point" answers I get from my Republican friends when talking about an issue. If you ask a Republican about a news worthy even or issue, before Fox news reports on it, you will get a blank stare and allot of ahum um uh, as an answer from them. Ask them the next day, after Fox news has reported on it and you will get each talking point, virtually spoken in order and that smug look on their face, like they had just thought up the answer. BOR is a BORE and he will go down in history, as will many like him, as one of the worst journalist/commentators that Media Moguls could buy.
