This is an excerpt from the September 17th public meeting of New jersey's Commission on American Indian Affairs.

There was an understanding reached that Yonaguska would be allowed to make a full presentation on behalf of his people.

As you'll see, for ten minutes (actually it was more like 13 but YouTube only allows ten minute segments) the Commission members and their attorney through all manner of procedural contortions to stifle Yonaguska's presentation.

They eventually settle on giving him ten minutes.....abut would have been better off giving him the twenty he originally asked for as they would have been three minuted "ahead of the game".

Then again, it seems that their aim may not have been simply to save time.

I am putting this snip up now because there will be another meeting of this body this Wednesday November 19th...and once again, there has been an "undertsanding" reached to allow Yonaguska to make a full presentation.

Let us hope that we don't see a repeat of the same type of fiasco you see on the video.

Dennis Shulman lost the battle of New Jersey's 5th CD last night; but his constituents and the rest of America (and the planet) won the was in that Brack Obama is now the President-elect of the USA.

This is a 10 minute excerpt from a classy concession speech that gracefully acknowledges the existential fact of Garrett's win, while simultaneously declaring an essential victory in terms of truth.

Garrett's "victory" will be pyrrhic at best.

There is about 3 minutes missing because of the 10 minute limit here...the whole thing will be up elsewhere soon and I'll keep you posted when that happens.

This was a public meeting, open to the public, in which two US Congressional candidates were engaging in a public forum answering questions.

Obviously, I was videorecording as was the fellow who you'll see asking a question...then someone asks him to stop recording (meanwhile, I was right in front of the gentleman making the request with my camera recording in plain sight) and the young man respectfully refuses.

Then the fellow to my immediate right chimes in as the crowd comes around to the position that we should be allowed to record....so the moderator moved on and Tom Wyka finished his answer. (The second half of his answer is also here on YouTube.)

Meanwhile, I still see no legitimate reason why this kind of public forum between candidates running for public office, and to which, the general public is invited should be able to restrict recording.

There is no way a local TV station was going to put this all on the air and as best I could tell there was only one local print journalist there taking written notes.

Democrat Tom Wyka, Republican Rodney Frelinghuysen and Independent Chandler Tedholm took part in a public forum/debate on Sunday Oct 26th, 2008.

This is one of the questions.

Clearly Wyka strikes a favorable chord with this audience (which most of whom, I suspect, earn much less than 250k per year).

This is Dennis Shulman's opening statement in his October 22nd 2008 debate with Scott Garrett.

The crowd was quite pleased with what he had to say!

On Wednesday October 22nd Dennis Shulman debated incumbent Rep. Scott Garrett at Sussex Community College.

As you can hear, Dennis made a good impression on the crowd...then the moderator requested that applause be cut short.

Clearly, this is a man who would be a major improvement over right wing radical fundamentalist Scott Garrett.

At yesterday's (8.12.08) fundraiser for John McCain at the Marriott in Teaneck NJ the it suddenly became dark, yet all around the hotel one could see clear skies.

As the protests continued, the cloud let loose with some mild rain and dissipated!

These folks were playing/practicing outside a Teaneck, NJ Marriot where John McCain was holding a fundraiser yesterday.

I hope they were well compensated for their services by the campaign.

It sounded great to me!!! (Though McCain remains a loser :-)
