Chris Bertelli, CA Deputy Director of CA Homeland Security (DHS). Hired by Schwarzenegger to work in emergency preparedness for CA. Bertelli was Blackwater's leading lobbyist, working for the Alexander Strategy Group, the powerful K Street Republican firm staffed and founded by former senior staffers of Tom DeLay. Bertelli was one of the people steering Erik Prince and other Blackwater executives around Capitol Hill after the Fallujah ambush in 2004. Bertelli also was one of the lobbyists for Blackwater who took the lead on trying to block the Pentagon or the Congress from applying the Military Code of Justice, the court-martial system, to Blackwater and other contractors operating in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Los Angeles City Council adopted a resolution Oct 16th calling for an end to the war in Iraq, making it the largest city in the nation to make such a call. The resolution passed on a 12-2 vote, with Dennis Zine and Greig Smith dissenting. Councilman Jose Huizar was not present for the vote. I believe the best way to jumpstart the education of Congress, Senate and Americans-at-large on the violations against our Constitutional rights is to get Oprah engaged in this process.

Idealistically to have a show incorporating Bill Moyers’ Tough Talk on Impeachment with a diverse panel of Constitutional Lawyers (Mr. Fein, Mr. Nichols, Mr. Turley) allowing Q&A from the audience.

Having an audience of American women (primarily) getting educated on the violations of our Constitution with Oprah on national TV would definitely encourage members of Congress to read their Employee Handbook.

Is it still that outrageous to imagine Oprah hosting a show viewing the Bill Moyers’ Tough Talk on Impeachment show to discuss America’s Constitutional crisis?

LANIC (LA National Impeachment Center) & PDLA (Progressive Dems of LA) took Impeachment to the table of the Los Angeles City Council this morning. 25 Angelenos told the LA City Council the reasons why Impeachment is a local City Council issue. There were a total of 45 plus volunteers that showed up @ the LA City Council meeting.
