I especially love conservative claims of a low "unemployment rate", a cooked number that excludes those whose unemployment insurance ran out or, helpless to find a job in their field, stopped looking for work. When did that math magic begin? After Bush took office.
It reminds me of how Bush claimed Texas had the lowest drop rate in the country. Sure. After he created 24 categories of dropouts and included those who took the GED as having "graduated" high school. The real Texas dropout rate, when calculated by human (as opposed to conservative fairyland) standards, was the second worst in the nation.
Never (mis)underestimate the ability of a conservative to cook statistics, make up statistics then broadly assert that "you can say anything with statistics" when they mean "WE will say anything with statistics."
