Meet Princess Cima. She's HIV positive and pregnant. And she's a super model. Her runway is on the streets of Africa. Check out her moves. She teaches people about how to prevent getting HIV/AIDS so they can live healthy, productive lives. And she lets people know that even women who are HIV positive can, with the right help, give birth to healthy, productive children. Now that's a super model!

In this innovative, uplifting film, we are taken on a journey along the path of a person living with HIV: from fear and emptiness to the decision to live positively and on to unshakable optimism and love of life.

Directed by Fanta Régina Nacro, Burkina Faso; based on original ideas by young people from eight African countries.

Scenarios from the Sahel is a unique collection of 13 films exploring the issue of HIV/Aids in Africa. The films combine humour, drama and animation with information about the nature of HIV/AIDS and the best forms of prevention. They provide an insight into the daily experience of living with the disease as experienced by people of all ages in Africa.

In 1997, thousands of young people under 25 in Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso took part in a contest inviting them to come up with ideas for short films on HIV/AIDS. The contest was so successful that a second contest was held in early 2000. Special emphasis in this contest was placed on encouraging girls/young women, rural youth, and young people who do not attend school to participate. Scores of organisations worked in partnership to bring the conteststo communities, and almost 22,000 young people took part.

Scenarios from the Sahel (now known as Scenarios From Africa) is a community mobilisation, education and media project. It offers children and young people the opportunity to work with international directors in the production of short fiction films to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

Indonesia's policy of sending drug users to prisons instead of rehabilitation centres has resulted in about 70 per cent of inmates reportedly dying of AIDS-related illness mainly spread through the sharing of dirty needles by drug users.

http://forums.zizula.com/index.php?topic=424.0

Dr. Robert Beck discusses the blood electrofication device that he sifted from obscurity and almost lost due to the media blackout. THIS TECHNOLOGY IS INEXPENSIVE, REAL, AND EFFECTIVE CURE FOR ALL INFECTIOUS DISEASE. THIS IS WHAT THE FDA, AMA, and the Pharmaceutical Drug Lords DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW.

Blood electrification. Patent 5139684, granted Aug 18 1992 (filed Nov 16 1990)
Electrically conductive method and systems for treatment of blood and other body fluids and/or synthetic fluids with electric forces

Inventors: Dr. Steven Kaali and Peter Schwolsky

Abstract:

A new process and system for treatment of blood and/or other body fluids and/or synthetic fluids from a donor to a recipient or storage receptacle or in a recycling system using novel electrically conductive treatment vessels for treating blood and/or other body fluids and/or synthetic fluids with electric field forces of appropriate electric field strength to provide electric current flow through the blood or other body fluids at a magnitude that is biologically compatible but is sufficient to render the bacteria, virus, and/or fungus ineffective to infect normally healthy cells while maintaining the biological usefulness of the blood or other fluids. For this purpose the low voltage electric potentials applied to the treatment vessel should be of the order of from about 0.2 to 12 volts and should produce current flow densities in the blood or other fluids of from one microampere per square millimeter of electrode area exposed to the fluid being treated to about two milliamperes per square millimeter. Treatment time within this range of parameters may range for a period of time from about one minute to about 12 minutes.

All the while, the volcano of desire is rumbling away....

Directed by Hamet Fall Diagne, Senegal; based on original ideas by Liboke Limpho, age 22, Lesotho; Egbeleye Azeezat, age 23, Nigeria; and Ntamba Alon Johnas, age 18, Tanzania.

Two car mechanics, owners of their own garages, challenge one another to a game-show duel: whose staff can do a better job of mastering the facts of HIV/AIDS? The hilarious final comes down to penalty-shot questions on the tricky topic of sexually transmitted infections. And the winner is....

Directed by Fanta Régina Nacro, Burkina Faso; based on original ideas by Abdoul-Razakh Cissé, aged 22, Burkina Faso, and Facely Jefami Millimono, aged 19, Guinea.

Abu, the dashing star of talk radio, can't believe his ears when a young caller says that protecting herself from HIV is no longer important, because AIDS medicines are now available. In dramatic fashion, Abu drives home the point that this is no time to drop one's guard.

Co-directed by Hamet Fall Diagne and Olga Kiswendsida Ouédraogo; written by Hamet Fall Diagne.

Scenarios from Africa is a community mobilisation, education and media project about HIV/AIDS carried out with and for young people.

It gives children and young adults an exciting opportunity to educate themselves and others about HIV/AIDS by inviting them to participate with internationally acclaimed directors in the production of a collection of short films.

The films are based on ideas thought up by young people in a series of contests. So far, over 105,000 young people from 37 African countries have taken part in these contests. Over a thousand local and international partner organisations are involved in organising the contests and selecting the winning ideas.

Twenty-eight short fiction films are currently available. Some of the films are very touching, others extremely funny. They are distributed on a non-commercial basis across Africa and well beyond, for broadcast on national television stations and on international satellite networks.

Scenarios from Africa is coordinated by Global Dialogues - a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in education and communication about HIV/AIDS.
