<p>The father of four children killed in Gaza is rejecting denials from Israel that it was responsible.</p>
<p>Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has expressed deep sorrow, but says the Hamas tactic of launching rocket barrages from densely populated areas is to blame.</p>
<p>Ahmed Abu Meg-teg lost four children and his wife as his house in the Gaza Strip was torn apart by a huge explosion.</p>
<p>He described to Al Jazeera, what happened.</p>
<p>However, Israel has a different version of events. David Chater has been trying to piece together what really happened in Beit Hanoun.</p>

<p>The military wing of Hamas launched a rare suicide attack on Gaza's border with Israel. </p>
<p>It came as a controversial meeting between Hamas officials and Jimmy Carter, the former US president, was concluding in Syria. </p>
<p>At least 13 Israeli soldiers were wounded, and three Palestinian fighters were reported to be killed.</p>
<p>Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from Gaza.</p>
