<p><p>CBS news correspondent Katie Couric asked Sarah Palin what newspapers or magazines that she reads. Palin, who was a journalism major in at least one of the five colleges that she attended - could not or would not (more than likely <em>could</em> not) name one publication. (Note: The conversation comes at the 3:05 mark of the video)</p><p>"I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media," said Palin. Couric pressed on for a real answer, "What, specifically?" </p><p>"Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years."</p><p>Couric persisted. "Can you name a few?" </p><p>"I have a vast variety of source where we get our news," Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, 'wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?' Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America."</p><p> </p></p>

<p><p>During the final day of the RNC in St. Paul protesters were directed to leave the area and ended up being trapped in by riot police. </p><p>The marchers would march near the state capitol and after being told by riot police they no longer could march they had no where to go. Every direction they were directed to go to leave the area would eventually be blocked off. The video shows the timeline and ends with smoke bombs, tear gas, pepper spray and concussion grenades. </p><p> In the end, every person in the video would be trapped on the Marion St. bridge and arrested. Close to 350. </p><p> </p></p>

Holdren is Teresa and John Heinz Professor of Environmental Policy and Director of the Program on Science, Technology, and Public Policy at the Kennedy School, as well as Professor of Environmental Science and Public Policy in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University. His work focuses on causes and consequences of global environmental change, analysis of energy technologies and policies, ways to reduce the dangers from nuclear weapons and materials, and the interaction of content and process in science and technology policy.</p>
<p>Bruce Blair is president of the World Security Institute, a nonprofit organization that he founded in 2000 to promote independent research and journalism on global affairs. Blair is an expert on US and Russian security policies, specializing in nuclear forces and command-control systems. Blair, a MacArthur Prize awardee, has taught security studies at both Harvard and Yale universities.</p>

<p>Victor Davis Hanson and Christopher Hitchens take on the World War II revisionists, focusing first on Patrick J. Buchanan, the author, most recently, of Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War.</p>
<p>They counter the essential claims in Buchanan’s book that Britain’s guarantee to protect Poland in the event of a German invasion made the war inevitable; that the Holocaust was a consequence of the war and that, without it, the Holocaust may not have occurred; and that Germany invaded Russia only because Britain under Churchill was determined to partner with Russia against Germany.</p>
<p>Finally they address two claims made by author Niall Ferguson that "[the Allies] adopted the most brutal tactics of those they were fighting" and that the principal beneficiary of the Second World War was Stalin's Soviet Union - Hoover Institution</p>
<p>Christopher Hitchens is an author, journalist and literary critic. Now living in Washington, D.C., he has been a columnist at Vanity Fair, The Nation and Slate; additionally, he is an occasional contributor to many other publications. He is the author of several books, including The Trial of Henry Kissinger and God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything.</p>
<p>Victor Davis Hanson is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, a professor emeritus at California University, Fresno, and a nationally syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services. He was a full-time farmer before joining CSU Fresno, in 1984 to initiate a classics program. In 1991, he was awarded an American Philological Association Excellence in Teaching Award, which is given yearly to the country's top undergraduate teachers of Greek and Latin.</p>
<p>Peter M. Robinson is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, where he writes about business and politics, edits Hoover's quarterly journal, the Hoover Digest, and hosts Hoover's television program, Uncommon Knowledge. Robinson is also the author of three books: How Ronald Reagan Changed My Life; It's My Party: A Republican's Messy Love Affair with the GOP; and the best-selling business book Snapshots from Hell: The Making of an MB.</p>

<p>IAEA 'alarmed' by Iran's alleged nuclear weapons work: diplomat

<p>VIENNA (AFP) — Inspectors from the UN atomic watchdog are "alarmed" that Iran has in its possession a document describing the process for making what could be the core of a nuclear weapon, a western diplomat said Thursday.</p>
<p>And at a closed-door meeting with diplomats, the International Atomic Energy Agency's chief for inspections, Olli Heinonen, revealed that the agency had gathered intelligence from around 10 countries suggesting Iran was engaged in weaponisation studies in the past, the diplomat said.</p>
<p>Tehran has repeatedly dismissed the intelligence as "fabricated," and the allegations that it was seeking to build a bomb as "baseless".</p>
<p>At a briefing to prepare IAEA board members for a meeting of the full board next week, Heinonen talked about the so-called uranium metal document, the diplomat said on condition of anonymity.</p>
<p>The 15-page document describes the process of machining uranium metal into two hemispheres of the kind used in nuclear warheads.</p>
