Richardson, in a statement posted Friday on the Web site of his defunct presidential campaign and e-mailed to supporters, also called for New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to end her own campaign for the nomination for the good of the Democratic Party.

Bill Richardson criticized a Clinton campaign adviser Friday for suggesting his endorsement of Barack Obama is insignificant.
"I resent the fact that the Clinton people are now saying that my endorsement is too late because I only can help with Texans — with Texas and Hispanics, implying that that's my only value," the New Mexico governor told CNN's John King. "That's typical of some of his advisers that kind of turned me off." [...]
In the interview Friday, Richardson also said he called Hillary Clinton Thursday to inform her of his decision to back Obama, a conversation he described as "painful."
"It was painful and it wasn't easy," he said. "I've spoken to others who have had that same conversation and they say at the end, it’s not all that pleasant."
The former Democratic presidential candidate declined to elaborate further on his conversation with Clinton.
Last month, Chris Dodd — another former presidential candidate who decided to endorse Obama last month — said he had a "not comfortable" conversation with Clinton informing her of the news.

Otherwise you wouldn't have had the story about it lead your show last Friday night. So we're back near the top of your enemies list, hopefully nestled in among George Soros, Media Matters, Twista, and falafel jokes.

So I'm assuming your interns will read this and summarize it for you, since I know you're not so fond of the internets. I know how much it scares you. I know how you don't like how it's been used to expose you as the fraud you are, so you try to convince your elderly audience that the internet is simply a den of liberal lies, pedophiles and porn. I know how much you must hate your audience to lie to them the way you do.

That's the thing. I know a lot about you.

Like when I heard how your stalkerazzi "producer" Jesse Watters was badgering the vets at the petition delivery, asking them if they'd seen the clips of you saying that homeless veterans don't exist or if they were equally mad at Mark Cuban. When I heard that, I knew exactly what you would do. I even bet my friend dinner on it.

It's the same thing you did when Chris Dodd was on your show. He brought up the fact that you said that San Francisco deserves to be bombed by terrorists. Instead of acknowledging that you had indeed said that, you challenged him to tell you when and where he said it. When Dodd got the when right but not the where (your radio show, not your TV show), you lunged, saying that Dodd was wrong and didn't know what he was talking about. The important thing is YOU SAID SAN FRANCISCO SHOULD BE BOMBED BY TERRORISTS. The rest was a misdirect to convince the viewers you lie to so frequently.

Yes, it's time to steal a few more jokes from my father-in-law. For those of you who might be new here, he used to write for Alan King, Milton Berle and Jonathan Winters, just to name a few. And all those Dean Martin Roasts, too: Don Rickles, Red Buttons, Phyllis Diller, Sammy Davis, Jr., etc.

I bet he could even make Willard Romney sound funny. Forget it. Nobody can.

A tiny respite from all the frustrating events of the day:

The Iowa Caucus is over and we should have guessed Baptist Minister, MIKE HUCKABEE, would be the Republican winner. He received such great support from the religious right. After every speech they gave him a kneeling ovation.

It seems THOMPSON has an identity problem. People recognize him.

On the Democratic side. After HILLARY's loss in Iowa she announced, from now until November she intends to get really tough with OBAMA. She just replaced her top campaign strategist with HULK HOGAN.

Overheard at CLINTON campaign headquarters: "Will someone tell BILL O'REILLY he has the right to remain silent!"

Senators JOE BIDEN and CHRISTOPHER DODD have decided to quit their run for the Oval office. It seems during the caucuses Iowa voters stood up and gave them both a rousing round of indifference.

Awww, poor Joe and Chris! A big round of applause for them both! And don't forget to tip your WGA member on the way out...with the exception of Jay Leno.

I've known Dodd's people for a long time, and have always had a very high opinion of him. But what he has done recently, in showing courage while so many Democrats cower in front of the most unpopular President ever, well he deserves our gratitude.

I can't wait for him to go back to DC and keep up the fight against telecom immunity for illegally spying on us. Many are talking him up as Majority Leader, a move I would support. He'd also make a helluva Attorney General or Secretary of State...
