Today's Friday Friend is Actress, Circus Performer and Comedic Juggler, Olga Karavaeva!

Olga is not just a juggler!...

Olga was born in a small town by the Black Sea. At the age of 6, Olga began studying classical piano at a local music school. Her mother was in charge of the town's community center and devoted much of her time to teaching children circus arts. It was in these circus art classes that Olga's entertainment career began. She started performing in theaters in surrounding cities, creating a name for herself as a performer and entertainer. At the age of 14, she joined the circus where her uncle taught her to juggle. A few years later she arrived in the USA to perform with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. In 2001, Olga started training with one of the best jugglers in the world, Jason Garfield. With Jason's training, Olga perfected her craft and continues to perform her routines all across the world. Then, in 2004, she became a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and has appeared in guest/supporting roles on a number of television shows and feature films. When she is not working, she loves to spend time practicing, taking acting classes, and enjoying her hobbies. In 2006, Olga started a small business "I.D.U. Trends," a business that specializes in making high-end fashion accessories that will appear in various boutiques in Los Angeles in 2007.

This is footage I made for a show called "Underground Live." There is a little footage at the end from another of the "Underground" crew- DJames.

We met Niko in Iowa City and last I heard he was in Washington DC. He made music from his PC, but once I saw him play a teakettle and an iron onstage at an experimental music concert.

This particular show's theme was "technology."

I found some old computer boards for a backdrop and some Muybridge animations to choreograph.

The Rorschach test looking footage is a sparkler that was mirrored, flipped, keyed, slowed and probably some other effects.
