<p>Joe Sabia put together this great video featuring Dr. King giving his inspiring "Mountaintop" speech on April 3, 1968, the night before his assassination. It features Dr. King, Rocky, and footage from the top of Mount Everest.</p>

Here is the end of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Drum Major Instinct sermon delivered at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 4, 1968 mixed with Ayo Technology by 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland.</p>
<p>This is the mix featured on 94.1 KPFA and at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2008.</p>

<p><p>Whatever your political inclinations in this election, it is a pretty amazing moment when you think about the recent history of this country. </p><p>I wonder if Dr. King would have envisioned we'd have a legitimate African American presidential contender 40 years after his untimely death. Would have have thought it took too long? Or perhaps that we have gotten there sooner than expected when one thinks of the riots in the inner cities going on that summer?</p><p>Either way, and exciting moment. One that honors his legacy.</p></p>
