<br />QUESTIONER: My dad was a lifetime resident here in Martin County Kentucky and I'm proud of that. The questions I have is about jobs in America, cutting out the imports to keep jobs here in America, to start building more factories so that people have work here instead of our money going elsewhere.
<br />MCCAIN: I thank you and I understand your frustration and I understand that we in America have experienced a dramatic loss of manufacturing jobs. Not only here but particularly across areas of America that are our traditional manufacturing base. I have to tell you and I have to tell you this very honestly that many of those jobs are not coming back to America. There are jobs though that are coming to America, that are being done in America. And they are green technologies, and they are hybrid cars, and they are batteries that will take a car a hundred miles, and they are research and development, and they are worker retraining programs so that workers can be qualified to take part in this new information technology revolution. 1.3 million people in the world today make their living off Ebay [...]"
