It&#39;s a great video by Dr. Westin discussing <em>the political brain</em>. His <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Political-Brain-Emotion-Deciding-Nation/dp/1586484257">book</a>&nbsp;on this subject, which exposes much of what you already&nbsp;know is wrong with Democratic campaigns, was one of my favorite reads this year.</p><p>His lessons are worth discussing as the process begins in earnest today. So let me make it easy for Democratic consultants. </p><p>No matter who the nominee is on our side, they are going to appeal to emotion using character attacks to define them. See&nbsp; the Hillary = &quot;Bitch,&quot; Obama = Muslim and Edwards = &quot;Faggot&quot; storylines they have already forwarded and have ready to go in the general election.</p><p>They will use independent groups, so they have plausible deniability (at least to our brilliant MSM). They will use fear, <a href="http://cliffschecter.bravenewfilms.org/blog/23304-rudy-the-next-crisis-is-a-moment-away">as Rudy is shamefully doing once again on the airwaves right now</a>, and as most aptly <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/iowa-republicans-to-choos_b_79374.html">described by Bob Cesca</a>:</p><blockquote><p>Thursday night, Republicans in Iowa will gather in various caucus locations to choose the candidate who will do the best job of scaring the fucking shit out of America.</p></blockquote><p>Please oh wise consultants.
