All children 6 months to 18 years old should receive the flu vaccine this year, federal officials said Monday, offering protection to an additional 30 million children.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention aims to vaccinate 261 million people this year.

The previous recommended age group was 6 months to 5 years.

The age group was expanded this year because children are two to three times more likely to contract the disease than are adults, said Dr. Renée Jenkins, president of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

PART 1, Wednesday, September 3, 2008 During an impassioned speech in which he called for a revolution to take back the country, former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura voiced 9/11 truth to the 10,000 in attendance and the millions watching on C-Span, LiveLeak, and You Tube at the Rally For The Republic yesterday.

Ventura also strongly hinted that he is considering running for the presidency in 2012.

"I'm going to move on to another subject that a lot of people don't want to discuss today," he said, "I know when I discuss it, it's amazing, I get attacked! And that's something called 9/11!"

The crowd cheered and applauded as Ventura made numerous salient points about the FBI's failure to list 9/11 on Bin Laden's rap sheet and the DOJ's failure to charge him.

"They charged him when he blew up our embassy in '98, why the biggest terrorist attack in history have they failed to officially charge him for? Why have they not convened a grand jury, presented their evidence and got an indictment?" asked Ventura. "When the FBI was pressed as to why 9/11 wasn't included, their response was - we don't have enough evidence."

"Why did we have a President who stonewalled any investigation into 9/11 for two years?," added the former Governor, as portions of the crowd chanted, "9/11 was an inside job."

Ventura slammed the media for slavishly devoting a whole month of coverage to the death of Anna Nicole Smith, labeling it a sign of "the dumbing down of America."

He also expressed his support for the Second Amendment and reminded people that the founding fathers didn't write it into the Constitution so people could hunt, but that the right to bear arms was about the right of the people to overthrow a corrupt government.

Ventura also talked about his success as a third party candidate and encouraged people to vote locally for independent candidates to beak the Republican-Democrat stranglehold.

"So it can be done - don't ever allow anyone to tell you that it can't be done, it can be done!" Ventura exclaimed.

Ventura continued the discussion about 9/11 backstage when reporters asked him about his comments. Ventura called for a new independent investigation to be conducted without a conclusion having already been pre-determined, as was the case with the government-mandated inquiries.

Ventura concluded his speech by saying, "We can take our country back, it can be done, but it's not gonna happen with talk - it's gonna happen with action. I wrote the book Don't Start The Revolution Without Me - well I'm here....let's get the revolution going!" he concluded to rapturous applause, adding that if the country showed him it was possible, he would consider running in 2012, vowing, "we'll give them a race they'll never forget!"

Following up on this weekend's extreme raids on various homes, at least 250 people were arrested here today in St. Paul, Minnesota. Beginning last night, St. Paul was the most militarized I have ever seen an American city be, even more so than Manhattan in the week of 9/11 — with troops of federal, state and local law enforcement agents marching around with riot gear, machine guns, and tear gas cannisters, shouting military chants and marching in military formations. Humvees and law enforcement officers with rifles were posted on various buildings and balconies. Numerous protesters and observers were tear gassed and injured. Perhaps most extraordinarily, Amy Goodman of Democracy Now — the radio and TV broadcaster who has been a working journalist for close to 20 years — was arrested on the street and charged with "conspiracy to riot." Audio of her arrest, which truly shocked and angered the crowd of observers, is here. I just attended a Press Conference with St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and Police Chief John M. Harrington and — after they boasted of how "restrained" their police actions were — asked about the journalists and lawyers who had been detained and/or arrested both today and over the weekend. They said they wouldn't give any information about journalists who had been arrested today, though they said they believed that "one journalist" had been, and that she "was seemingly a participant in the riots, not simply a non-participant." Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of orchestrating the conflict in Georgia to benefit one of its presidential election candidates.
In an exclusive interview with CNN's Matthew Chance in the Black Sea city of Sochi Thursday, Putin said the U.S. had encouraged Georgia to attack the autonomous region of South Ossetia.
Putin told CNN his defense officials had told him it was done to benefit a presidential candidate -- Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama are competing to succeed George W. Bush -- although he presented no evidence to back it up.
"U.S. citizens were indeed in the area in conflict," Putin said. "They were acting in implementing those orders doing as they were ordered, and the only one who can give such orders is their leader."

NIST's wizards of balderdash have now officially concluded that fire caused the swift, symmetrical collapse of WTC Building 7-- offering essentially no explanation at all, other than ruling out alternative explanations (which were not scientifically tested in their research) as not credible.
CNN's Wolf Blitzer reports that the WTC7 building collapse is "mystery solved"-- showing footage of head NIST 'investigator' Dr. Shyam Sunder making claim that the 47-story steel skycraper is the first in history of its kind to collapse 'mainly due to fire' despite the fact that NIST's own report-- previously leaked-- shows that the visible fires had all died out hours before the collapse, making it impossible for fire to be the cause.
Of course, no other explanation for the collapse was actually investigated-- no tests were done in regards to the use of explosives, for instances. However, Dr. Sunder did declare that "alternate theories are really-- none of them have been found to be credible" (true enough, as no such theories were ever tested). Therefore, case closed; fire to blame. A group of tightly-controlled government scientists said so.
The CNN piece briefly features Shane Geiger, an Infowars freelance reporter, who challenged NIST's "bare assertions"-- before, Geiger reported to the Alex Jones Show, NIST turned the lights out on his question.
Notice CNN quickly cuts from the 'conspiracy theorist' after only a few words because the lights were shut off shortly afterwards (not shown in the video)-- incredibly, in the middle of Geiger's polite but dissenting statement. Apparently, no defense for NIST's unsupported statements was available, so instead cheap distraction was used to immediately end the discussion.
