Gallup Poll Bush 33% approval - 64% disapproval | 3% undecided
Obama 46% - McCain 47%
___________________
..but, at what expense? The working class women are flocking to McCain-Palin.
In a surprise move, Senator John McCain introduced his vice presidential pick Alaskan governor Sarah Palin at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. Although I wouldnt support the McCain campaign, I must admit, she does have appeal. I mean, I have never seen so many Republicans, working class women and the media fawn over a governor who is just an average working mother. Most working class white women can relate to her.

In this video, I will explain the power of women voters, and also the Hannity interview with Palin in Cincinnati [oops, Youngstown], Ohio. Going to the poorest city in my state for a softball and flirt interview with Governor Sarah Palin, makes this interview more interesting. So interesting Jay Leno ridiculed the interview! More on that at the end of this video!

They rather vote for the very fact that shes on the ticket, instead of a politician who supports their views on social and economic issues.

After so many months of hearing: Oh, hes Black, hes voting for him cause hes Black! Is it now time for me to say Oh, shes a woman, shes voting for them because theres a woman on the ticket!

They want to put a vagina over issues! Well I guess this time, PUMA, Republicans and conservatives will wreck what they sow. I am going to step the game up further by making it clear; I am going to demonize you!

For far too long, progressives and independents were too gracious to Republicans and conservatives. For months I dealt with the off-the-wall comments from people from all walks of life who dont even know me.

I do respect the governor for making herself the candidate of the women. I do want to see women in power. But when it comes to issues that relate to me, I think she doesnt me or the supporters of my videos.

Now onto leadership! Some people forget that the Speaker of the House is a woman. I mean Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was demonized by conservatives and Republicans. She is the most powerful congressional leader in the United States. There are many women in Congress representing their districts. There are 74 women who serve in congress. Thats not a lot but its making improvements. I mean what about former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day OConner and current justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I mean what about the nearly twenty five years of leadership in Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY). What about leadership with Senators Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Elizabeth Dole (R-NC), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Amy Klobuchar (D [DFL]-MN), Susan Collins (R-ME), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Patty Murray (D-WA) and Blanche Lincoln (D-AK). Other than Governor Palin, there are seven other governors who serve their states respectively.

Women came a long way and even though Governor Sarah Palin is not the choice for me, I respect her for her courage and strength. She is the Republican Messiah!

Thank the women rights defender Rush Limbaugh for the inspiration. Also thank you the viewer of this video. Take a stand against corporate owned media by turning off the television, radio and internet smear machine off. And of course, check your facts before presenting a video. If anyone notices an error in my statement please inform me by sending a message.

Glass artist Dale Chihuly visits Google's Mountain View, CA headquarters to discuss his Gardens of Glass. This event took place on June 19, 2008, as part of the Authors@Google series.

Dale Chihuly is most frequently lauded for revolutionizing the Studio Glass movement by expanding its original premise of the solitary artist working in a studio environment to encompass the notion of collaborative teams and a division of labor within the creative process. However, Chihuly's contribution extends well beyond the boundaries both of this movement and even the field of glass: his achievements have influenced contemporary art in general. Chihuly's practice of using teams has led to the development of complex, multipart sculptures of dramatic beauty that place him in the leadership role of moving blown glass out of the confines of the small, precious object and into the realm of large-scale contemporary sculpture. In fact, Chihuly deserves credit for establishing the blown glass form as an accepted vehicle for installation and environmental art beginning in the late twentieth century and continuing today.

Complete video at: fora.tv

German journalist and commentator Thomas Deichman argues that most modern recycling methods are a waste of time and money.

-----

"Recycling is a Waste of Time" at the 2007 Battle of Ideas conference hosted by the Institute of Ideas.

With rubbish a major political issue, and threats from councils that residents might be fined if they do not sort their waste correctly, recycling has become a hot political issue. But, why bother to recycle? The benefits are far from indisputable. According to advocates of the new green orthodoxy, recycling is essential if we are to reduce pollution and alleviate global warming, but given its limited impact on CO2 emissions, it often seems as if the imperative to recycle has more to do with conspicuous ‘good citizenship’ than efficient waste management. Perhaps recycling is not only an inconvenient, but an unnecessary part of our daily routines.

Some have hailed the recycling industry of Mumbai as an economic model that we should all take notice of. Many inhabitants of the Indian city spend their time sorting dumped rubbish for recycling. But, how does this resource efficiency match up to our standards of human efficiency? Might a certain amount of wasted material be a price worth paying for the freedom to spend time on other things?- Institute of Ideas

Thomas Deichmann is founder and since 1992 Editor in Chief of the bi-monthly German magazine Novo, published in Frankfurt. Since 1993 he has worked as a freelance journalist and researcher for numerous quality papers across Europe.

During the 90s, Deichmann'’s journalism covered international relations and the civil war in the former Yugoslavia. Since 1999 he has focused his research and writing on science topics, and modern biotechnology in particular. His investigative journalism and his ‘enlightenment’ approach repeatedly cause international and national wide debates. He has appeared on radio and TV repeatedly.

He studied Civil Engineering at Darmstadt University and was awarded his diploma in 1989, spending some years working at Darmstadt University and as a freelance engineer.
