I'm not sure who those people with the D after their names in Washington are, but they're not what I call Democrats.

The issue here for Clinton and Obama is clear and simple and permits no equivocation: Will you support a filibuster of any bill that grants retroactive immunity to telecoms for enabling the Bush administration to spy illegally on Americans? There is absolutely no reason why they should be unable to answer that question in a clear, straightforward and unconditional manner. What they ought to be doing is leading on this issue -- taking a principled stand for the rule of law and our constitutional liberties and leading the Senate in a filibuster to stop this travesty. But since they are leaving that to Dodd, they ought to at least issue a clear statement as to their positions here.

Glenn Greenwald has a rocking column here on the selective umbrage about anti-semitism and "Nazi" references by the self styled arbitrators of hate speech. In that vein, along with my vigil awaiting the denouncement by La Malkin over this sucker of the teat of welfare, I am now denying myself double cheeseburgers until the howls of indignation and offense send Ms Coulter scuttling back to where she came from.

Ann Coulter on CNBC Show: Jews Need 'Perfecting'
NEW YORK Appearing on Donny Deutsch's CNBC show, "The Big Idea," on Monday night, columnist/author Ann Coulter suggested that the U.S. would be a better place if there weren't any Jewish people and that they had "perfected" themselves into -- Christians.

It led Deutsch to suggest that surely he couldn't mean that, and when she insisted she did, he said this sounded "anti-Semitic."

Asked by Deutsch regarding whether she wanted to be like "the head of Iran" and "wipe Israel off the Earth," Coulter stated: "No, we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say. ... That's what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament."

General Petraeus Is A Politician, Pure And Simple

He has been lying for this administration for years.

It is amazing to me that Democrats still don't know how to play this game (sadly, for soldiers in Iraq, it is no game). Everything the Bush Administation touches turns to bullshit. We know that.

They turned once-respected bipartisan demi-God Colin Powell into a liar on Iraq. Hell, look what happened to Rep. Brian Baird (D-Dumbstruck), who voted against the war initially and was recently brainwashed by them after one trip over there.

This has been Karl Rove's stock & trade his entire career, buying off those he needs who are either impartial or start out on the other side (try googling Bob Bullock, Rick Perry, Zell Miller, Joe Lieberman, Mark McKinnon, Matthew Dowd, etc and so forth).
