Here's a new video taking a look at John McCain's Keating Five problem in just 97 seconds.

The video combines archival footage of CBS and NBC News (including a report from Andrea Mitchell!) with reporting by CNN's John King aired just last month.

The bottom-line is that two decades after his role in the savings and loan crisis, John McCain is still the same old guy, more focused on deregulation than on delivering the sensible protections we need.

"XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Some workers at a Greene County restaurant are in hot water with the health department, after an employee took a bubble bath in a store sink.

It happened at the Burger King on Orange Street in Xenia.

A four-minute video posted on MySpace captured the employee, self-described as Mr. Unstable, bathing nude in a large stainless steel sink as several other employees and a store manager looked on.

The video began making its rounds on the Internet Monday morning. One of the recipients was Greene County Health Commissioner, Mark McDonnell.

"My first thought was oh my god," said McDonnell."

Burger King employee takes a bath in the restaurant's Kitchen Sink on his birthday. Needless to say, the employee, Timothy Tackett, aka Mr. Unstable, and everyone else involved lost their jobs at Burger King.

REPORTER: "Senator, can you explain why you and your campaign manager have specfically said that Obama played the race card with his comments the other day? And can you elaborate when you said you fought for equal rights for your entire life, what specifically you've done focusing on improving the lives of African Americans?"

JOHN MCCAIN: [looks uncomfortable] "Oh I, uh, first of all, um, [long pause] the- the first question-- you said, why am I--?"

REPORTER: "What it is--when your campaign manager--and you reiterated that you backed Davis in saying he played the race card."

MCCAIN: "I think his comments were clearly, were clearly with the race card. Because of what he said. Everybody can read his remarks and, in fact, his campaign retracted those remarks. So, I think it's very clear. And I was very disappointed, I was very disappointed at his comments. [...] So let's move on.

"I've supported legislation time after time that would provide equal opportunities for all Americans. I have supported lower taxes. I have supported increases in educational benefits. I have supported hundreds of pieces of legislation, which would help Americans obtain an equal opportunity in America. I am proud of that record, from fighting for the recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday in my state to sponsoring specifica legislation that would prevent discrimination in any shape or form in America today. And I am proud of that fight. I'd be glad to give you the legislative record of my efforts."

On foreign policy, Iraq: "Things are getting worse." "We are nation building."

On Barack Obama's policy of talking to leaders of countries who are not our best friends, like Iran and/or Cuba: "That's part of diplomacy, engaging..." We "should never be afraid to engage."

On whether the ~~surge~~ escalation should continue: "Any time you overload a zone with superb firepower, you have a consequence." "It is far from stable." "If we've had so much success, then why are our commanders concerned with freezing" our troop levels? "We're a long way from where we need to be."

On Pakistan: "The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is the most dangerous area in the world today. It's not Iraq, far from it. The battle against terrorism is not in Iraq."

He was noncommittal about who he would support in the general election, but he did say a couple of nice things about Obama.

The NYPost writes that CNN's John King is going all the way for his fiance, fellow correspondent Dana Bash. "The Irish Catholic is converting to Judaism before their May wedding, ~~which will help mollify Bash's rabbi father.~~ 'Yes, it is true,' he told Page Six. 'I'm studying to convert and will consider inviting you to my bar mitzvah. Mazel tov. On a more serious note, I took a class and am working with a wonderful rabbi in DC, and it has been a remarkably enriching experience.'"

Oy, bubeleh, I'm all farklempt.
