Keep your fingers crossed:

A new University of New Hampshire poll in the Granite State shows Jeanne Shaheen leading Sen. John Sununu by a commanding 17 points, 54% to 37%.

Key findings: Shaheen leads among both male and female voters and in every age, income, education, and geographic group. She leads Sununu by 22 points among independents.

CQ still rates the race No Clear Favorite.

The Disturbing Case Of Don Siegelman's Political Prosecution

This story keeps taking more twists and turns, and it needs to see the light of day. As in serious MSM coverage.

Why would I believe Siegelman was the victim of a Karl Rove plan to trump up charges against him and steal the Alabama gubernatorial election in 2002 because Siegelman opposed Bush early and often?

Let me see...hmm. Tough one.

Well, there is the attorneys scandal, where Rove and henchmen tried to encourage prosecutions of Democrats, voter suppression and the firing of those who wouldn't do their bidding.

There was the phone jamming scandal in New Hampshire in 2002, which just happened to help elect John Sununu to the Senate. One of the GOPers caught in that scandal has just written a book where he claims those much higher up were definitely involved.

Let's not even get into what they did in the 2000 election, from Katherine Harris to illegally filling out information on Republican absentee ballots in Florida to politicizing the Supreme Court.

The GOP is about power, and nothing else at this point. When they can't win the honest way, the other way will more than suffice. Watch what Siegelman has to say in this video. And once again prepare to appropriately adjust your view of what your country has become under the Bush Junta.

Bush's Senator: John Sununu

"Defending Bush. Standing With Bush. Voting With Bush. Senator Sununu, Bush's Senator, Not New Hampshire's."

That is the tagline at the end. You are going to start seeing this everywhere (there already have been some ads hitting Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins, for example, for their Bush-loving).

If these idiots want to get more Americans killed, take our children's health care away and tax our kids by supporting Bush's inane Iraq "strategy," his veto of S-CHIP and his out-of-control spending then at the very least, they will be looking for new jobs (if not locked up in the clink) come 2008.

Jeanne Shaheen Will Beat The Pants Off Sen. John Sununu In 2008

Well, when Republicans are involved at least, I probably shouldn't use that phrase.

People from New Hampshire, not being paranoid cultists, have realized since 2002 that the GOP does not resemble the party they supported in the past. That may be why in 2006 a Democratic governor was re-elected with over 70% of the vote, we took both houses of the state legislature for the first time since 1917 or so and both Congressional seats.

Additionally, Sununu beat Shaheen in 2002 with the help of illegal phone-jamming (the perpetrators are now doing time--a trend in today's GOP), 9/11 and lies about Iraq's WMD, and still only won by 4%. Possibly that's why polls already show her beating an incumbent Senator, a relatively unusual phenomenon.

Sununu is a Bush rubber stamp on Iraq (he literally ran away from reporters questioning him), stem cells and voted not to lower, but ELIMINATE the minimum wage.

Two words Sunununununu: Buh-bye.
