Thanks for viewing and post comments at the bottom.

Sensitive issues require a disclaimer: If the media was so interested in the pregnant teenagers, then why is there so much sex in the media? And that includes the news!

In the world of media, the way you cover a story is to do a fact check. It seems like three major cable networks; led by the Associated Press, drive the media frenzy. Jamie Lynn Spears gives birth to a daughter at seventeen. Last year, the media was dogging the hell out of Jamie Lynn and her sister mega-star Britney Spears. The media acted like a shocked parent finding out their teenage daughter is pregnant.

I would at least find twenty pregnant young girls in the city public schools. I can remember the period of 1998 -- 1999, there were twenty young girls who had given birth or were pregnant at the time of my graduation.

But in the town of Gloucester, you hear "bizarre deal", "pact", "24-year old homeless man", and "need to fit in"! The media goes crazy and bring us non-stop coverage of issues that requires a parent. The media should have no business injecting their venom to a sensitive issue.

Hope for the best for the young girls and their boyfriends and/or husbands.

Public schools are trained to inform students about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), teenage pregnancy and parenting. They are qualified professionals who maintain information to those who are in need of help. If were not allowed to do this, then you will have a bunch of uninformed teenagers who would never know the risk and consequences of love.

Love is blind!

Oh, by the way, if you are tired of the media's coverage of "hot teachers" and students. Trust me, you are not alone. Cause everything seems like a Mary Kay Letourneau story.

In True Enough, Manjoo presents findings from psychology, sociology, political science, and economics to show how new technologies are prompting the cultural ascendancy of belief over fact. In an age of talk radio, cable TV, and the Internet—the blog- and YouTube-addled million-channel media universe—it is no longer necessary for any of us to confront notions that contradict what we "know" to be true. Stephen Colbert calls this "truthiness"—when something feels true without any evidence that it is. Here Manjoo probes the cognitive basis of truthiness, exploring how biases push both liberals and conservatives to select and interpret news in a way that accords with their personal versions of "reality."

Farhad Manjoo manages Machinist, a daily technology news blog at Salon.com, where he also writes frequently on journalism, politics, and new media.

This event took place on May 19, 2008, as a part of the Authors@Google series.

In an television interview along with her two network colleagues, Charlie Gibson of ABC and Brian Williams of NBC, Katie Couric, anchor of CBS News (and formerly of NBC's Today Show), characterizes the coverage by journalists during the lead up to the Iraq War as "one of the most embarrassing chapters in American journalism." Couric speaks candidly of the political and corporate pressure placed on journalists to quash negative reporting that would go against the administration's posturing on the war.

At the 2008 National Press Foundation dinner, frequently pompous Pullitzer Prize winning New York Times reporter, Thomas Friedman, accepted the organization's lifetime achievement award. Within the context of his video speech was the following statement, shown via a clip taken from the full recorded speech. It addresses Friedman's opinion of the current relationship between print journalism and the web.

Friedman, who is often pompous and self-serving, ended his comments regarding the internet woith mention of his number one journalistic concern: MONEY!!!

Tata was already a fifteen -year veteran of the United States War on Drugs when she traded a decade of freedom to fight with her husband during the final days of his battle with liver cancer. Tata met Angel in a drug rehab after she had been arrested for dealing to support her habit. She had a long record of drug related charges, so the two-year treatment program came with a high alternative sentence of 5-10 years if she failed to complete it. Tata's joy at having found true love at last had similar conditions. When Angel's terminal diagnosis got him an early release from the program, Tata decided to trade years of her life for whatever time remained with Angel.

Complete video at: fora.tv

Pulitzer Prize-winning humor columnist Dave Barry identifies what is, in his words, a common "theme" running throughout his career.

-----

Dave Barry discusses "Dave Barry's History of the Millennium (So Far)."

So much has happened in our aughts already, it is imperative that we take a moment to review Dave Barry's year-by-year history of the millennium. He has, with great insight and courage, taken the time to record these turbulent times. For those with "outrage overload," this is a chance to laugh at it all - Politics and Prose

Dave Barry is a humor columnist. For 25 years he was a syndicated columnist whose work appeared in more than 500 newspapers in the United States and abroad. In 1988 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary. Many people are still trying to figure out how this happened.

Dave has also written a total of 30 books, although virtually none of them contain useful information. Two of his books were used as the basis for the CBS TV sitcom "Dave's World," in which Harry Anderson played a much taller version of Dave.

Dave plays lead guitar in a literary rock band called the Rock Bottom Remainders, whose other members include Stephen King, Amy Tan, Ridley Pearson and Mitch Albom. They are not musically skilled, but they are extremely loud. Dave has also made many TV appearances, including one on the David Letterman show where he proved that it is possible to set fire to a pair of men's underpants with a Barbie doll. - Dave Barry Official Website
