<p>Barack Obama Attracts Crowds - John McCain Attracts Audiences Pt. "5-A"| The media loves the ratings, not the candidates!</p>
<p>Senator Barack Obama has been at war with Fox News for many years. I mean where does the list begin? Fox News made a living out of drawing false conclusions about the senator and his wife Michelle. To much dismay in some of the progressive blogs, Senator Barack Obama will appear on The O'Reilly Factor. Senator John McCain blast MSNBC and NBC News for Andrea Mitchell and Keith Olbermann's critical analysis of him. McCain cancels appearance on Larry King Live after CNN anchors make inappropriate comments about the campaign and his vice presidential candidate.</p>
<p>Thanks for viewing and post comments at the bottom. Take a stand against corporate owned media by turning off the television, the radio and internet smear machine off. Let the real media analysis do the hard work for you. Don't let the media control your voice, your judgments, and your vote.</p>
<p>Couldn't help but speak on this forsaken network! After Obama held ground against most of its journalists, in particular Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, the senator eased tension by accepting to be interviewed on the primetime news program.</p>
<p>Of course, the next day, bragging rights? After all, Fox News touts around they are the ones who score big interviews more than the many times he's been on CNN and MSNBC.</p>
<p>Last year, Senator Barack Obama and the Democratic contenders voided two of the networks sponsored debates.</p>
<p>In 2008, Fox News allocated the partisan attacks and plain buffoonery from O'Reilly, Liz Trotta, E.D. Hill, Meghan Kelly, Dr. Jerome Corsi, Juan Williams, Chris Wallace, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Dick Morris, Steve Doocy, Greta Van Susteren, and of course Sean Hannity. Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch brokered a "cease-fire" deal with the Obama campaign. I guess it's a "truce". A bittersweet victory for those who are opposed to Fox News and its antics. </p>
<p>Will this be the "I'll Scratch Your Back, If You Scratch Mine!" moment that O'Reilly gets?</p>
<p>Enough about Fox News, recently in an interview with Jack Cafferty on CNN's The Situation Room, Wolf Blitzer asked the pundit about his thoughts on Senator John McCain. Cafferty responded with the following statement:</p>
<p>It occurs to me that John McCain is as intellectually shallow as our current President.</p>
<p>Campbell Brown from Election Center made a comment that angered the McCain Campaign in which it canceled his appearance on Larry King Live. </p>
<p>And of course, there's Andrea Mitchell from NBC News. After Senator John McCain gave his best performance at the Saddleback Forum, Mitchell questioned the appropriateness of his performance. In which she stated that: </p>
<p>"McCain may have [cheated] the forum"!</p>
<p>McCain is not appreciating his "base" covering him negatively, and he's taking the marbles and going home. Obama is putting gasoline on a fire with his appearance on The O'Reilly Factor, and making sure that disappointments are bound to happen. What do you think this?</p>
<p>You think that McCain should alienate CNN and MSNBC?</p>
<p>You think that Obama should continue to appear on Fox News?</p>
<p>You think that media watchdogs groups such as the Media Matters for America and Media Research Center, do a part to control "the out of control [for ratings]" partisan media?</p>

<p>The Bangladesh Army's takeover of the political system came at a heavy price: a native democratic system that had lasted more than fifteen years was forcibly ended. More ominously, the takeover inadvertently legitimized and strengthened Islamist radicalism in Bangladesh. </p>

<p>Husain Haqqani was a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C., and an associate professor of International Relations at Boston University.</p>
<p>Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Haqqani acquired traditional Islamic learning as well as a modern education in International Relations. His journalism career started with work as East Asian correspondent for The Islamic World Review during the turbulent years following the Iranian revolution. During this period he wrote extensively on Muslims in China and East Asia and Islamic political movements around the world. Later, as Pakistan and Afghanistan correspondent for the Far Eastern Economic Review, he covered the war in Afghanistan and acquired deep understanding of militant Islamist Jihadi groups.</p>

<p><p><a href="http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/01/17/edwards-camp-takes-aim-at-media/">John Edwards is doing something </a>about nothing...the nothing treatment he's getting from the media, that is:</p><blockquote><p><strong><a href="http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/candidates/john.edwards.html">John Edwards'</a> campaign is launching a full-on assault on the media for what they claim is inadequate and unfair press coverage </strong>of the former North Carolina senator's presidential bid. </p><p>"<strong>For the better part of a year the media has focused on two celebrity candidates,</strong>” Edwards Communications Director Chris Kofinis said Thursday. <strong>“And they continue to act as if there were only two candidates in the race, even after John Edwards beat Senator Clinton in Iowa and poll after poll show competitive races in Nevada, South Carolina and other key states</strong>."</p></blockquote><p>In a comment I made in an earlier thread, I mentioned that after the last debate, the cameras followed Clinton and Obama without one shot of Edwards' hugs and hand shakes. I also noted that Chris Matthews would switch the subject in his commentary when someone would bring up Edwards. </p> <blockquote><p>On Thursday, the campaign went live with a Web site that sites <strong>several recent news headlines that only include <a href="http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/candidates/barack.obama.html">Barack Obama</a> and <a href="http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/candidates/hillary.clinton.html">Hillary Clinton</a></strong>. It also includes recent statistics from the Project for Excellence in Journalism that indicate that <strong>from January 6-11, Edwards received just a fraction of the news coverage allotted to his two rivals</strong>.</p></blockquote><p>At least he gets to <a href="http://cliffschecter.bravenewfilms.org/blog/25190-dennis-kucinich-cut-out-of-cnn-debate">take part in the debates</a>. </p><blockquote><p>[O]n Thursday <strong>one town-hall supporter urged the crowd to directly complain to media outlets about the lack of coverage. Edwards said he agreed, and that it was time to speak out</strong>. </p></blockquote><p>The video is one he had produced to address this very issue. It's good, and it's short. Keep spreading the <strike>lies</strike> democracy, President (sic) Bush! </p></p>
